Washington DC: CBS International represented by its CEO, Sophia Bekele was invited as one of Africa Business Champions at the week ‘s long private-public meetings held with Sr.Business and policy leadership in Washington DC, organized by various grouping including the Africa Constituancy, African American Unity Caucus,  The African Union Mission and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.

SF-INET a success:  CBS paticipated to a sucessfully concluded SF-INET organized by SF ISOC. .  The theme was on  Internet trust, challenges and the next 10 years, and  the current Internet model we are faced with growing challenges of trust.   The San Francisco INET will bring together experts from Internet policy, standards, private sector and user community. The goal of this conference is not to find ways to focus on problems with the current Internet trust model but what we want the model to be in the next ten years. The meeting is free and open to all, but pre-registration is required by April 23rd 2010. Speakers include: Peter Dengate Thrush, ICANN Chairman, Jim Fenton Cisco, Daniel T Dreymann, CEO Goodmail Systems, Dave Lewis, Online Trust Alliance, Zaid Ali President/Chairman SF-Bay ISOC and much more..

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia:  Federal Democratic  Republic of Ethiopia (Parliament) House of People’s representative has awarded its major Networking contract to  SBCommunications Network Plc.

SBCommunications Network Plc. (SbCnet), a unit of CBS International Company, has received order from the Parliament to build the first of its kind Networking project in the government system.  The contract also includes design, installation and procurement for LAN/WAN networking and communications system that will support and would improve communications between governmental departments, non-governmental organizations, regional states and international organizations (such as the international Parliamentary union and Parliamentary friendship association throughout the parliamentary information system)
