Addis Ababa, Ethiopia:  Federal Democratic  Republic of Ethiopia (Parliament) House of People’s representative has awarded its major Networking contract to  SBCommunications Network Plc.   “I am pleased that we are now beginning the first phase of the project.  SbCnet, its industry partners, and the government have worked cooperatively to move through many significant milestones leading up to this successful stage, ” said Sophia Bekele, CEO of SBCommunications Network Plc., the project director in Addis.  

SBCommunications Network Plc. (SbCnet), a unit of CBS International Company, has received order from the Parliament to build the first of its kind Networking project in the government system.  The contract also includes design, installation and procurement for LAN/WAN networking and communications system that will support and would improve communications between governmental departments, non-governmental organizations, regional states and international organizations (such as the international Parliamentary union and Parliamentary friendship association throughout the parliamentary information system) Today’s announcement selecting SbCnet and its team as the Lead System Integrator (LSI) for the Parliament places it in a unique partnership role with government on a program that is key to the Parliament’s transformation goals. The win also represents a key component in SbCnet’s vision of the integrated Information Systems of the future, where networked information and communications systems provide a competitive edge to Parliamentary system. Read More —-CBSIntl Webpress,  Feb 2003
